Furniture Row Donates 45 Rooms of Furniture to New Ronald McDonald House

DENVER — The Furniture Row Companies has donated over 45 rooms full of furniture and mattresses for a new Ronald McDonald House in Aurora (Colo.).

The new Ronald McDonald House will provide temporary lodging for families of seriously ill or injured children. Located in a brand new facility one mile from The Children's Hospital, Fitzsimons Medical Campus and close to the Medical Centers of Aurora, the new House will be in excess of 67,000 square feet, almost doubling the capacity from the first Ronald McDonald House in Denver.

"I know that Furniture Row has turned our dream into a reality and made this 'house' a remarkable home ... everything is warm, cozy, inviting, relaxing and will make our families feel so special,” said Pam Whitaker, executive director for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver, Inc.

The Furniture Row Companies are family-owned furniture retailers and manufacturers headquartered in Denver. With over 3,000 employees, Sofa Mart, Oak Express, Bedroom Expressions and Denver Mattress Company, which all operate under the Furniture Row brand, are among America's largest and fastest-growing furniture companies with over 330 stores in 30 states.

Ronald McDonald House has provided an invaluable service to the community for many years, bringing some relief to families of seriously ill children. But even a Ronald McDonald House isn't a home without furniture. Furniture Row's donation is the finishing touch.
