Canine Wines Announces Inaugural Donations to Animal Rescue Partners Over $1,300 in Direct Funds and $7,500 of Product Donated

DANVILLE, Calif. — Canine Wines, a boutique winery producing premium California wines and sharing the proceeds with animal rescue organizations, announced it has donated over $1,300 in direct funds and $7,500 in wine since the launch of the brand in October 2007.

The $5 per bottle of wine sold is targeted for donation to Canine Wines animal rescue partners. In this round of donations, 8 partners received donations ranging from $50 to $500.

In addition, Canine Wines supports the fundraising events of its partner rescues by donating and pouring wine. In support of these events, over $7,500 worth of wine has been donated.

"We feel that the support of Canine Wines for fundraising events, not in just donating wine, but by being a part of the event by showing up and pouring our wine, improves the event and will help bring back the supports year after year," said Matt Raymond, co-founder and co-owner of Canine Wines. "We believe this is a major way that we can contribute to our partners and truly help the animal rescue cause."

Canine Wines donated and poured wine at the following events in 2007:

• Growl, Meow, and Wine in support of East Bay SPCA
• Art for Animals benefiting the Humane Society of the United States
• Art and Wine Auction benefiting NorCal Golden Retriever Rescue
• Wags to Riches fundraiser for the Mile Foundation Rescue
• Wine tasting and raffle to benefit the Humane Society of Stanislaus County

Canine Wines is a boutique winery, producing premium, handcrafted California wines. Canine Wines contributes $5 of each and every bottle sold and 10 percent of overall profits to animal rescue. The winery’s production facility is housed in San Francisco, with quality grapes sourced from vineyards throughout California. Canine Wines are available direct at www.K9Wines.com, and at select premium wine shop locations.

Even though Canine Wines brand was launched in the fall of 2007, it has already generated a tremendous amount of goodwill and financial support for a number of animal rescue organizations. We like that the giving program involves a mix of cash donations and in-kind donations.
