What Corporate Managers Expect

LAS VEGAS — Tomorrow, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., The Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada will host a Lunch & Learn at the United Way of Southern Nevada, which is located at 1660 E. Flamingo in Las Vegas.

The Lunch & Learn, moderated by Jacque Matthews, director of community relations for the Community College of Southern Nevada, includes a panel of corporate volunteer managers who are donating their time to discuss "What Corporate Volunteer Managers" expect from non-profit organizations and agencies.

Specifically, the panel discussion will reveal what corporate volunteer managers expect from agencies in order to assist them in turning out employees for events, projects, and other activities. In addition to being worthwhile for non-profit organizations, some business owners might glean how to ease the burden of organizing volunteers from a number of seasoned panel members.

Although the R.S.V.P. deadline was Feb. 16, you can call the Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada for more information at 702-892-2321. The luncheon is $15 or $10 for DOVIA members.
