Two Community Leaders Honored By HELP

LAS VEGAS — HELP of Souther Nevada is recognizing two community leaders this March 3 at an annual Mardi Gras celebration dinner. The event will also help raise funds for the organization, with tickets priced at $200. The event includes dinner and entertainment at the South Point Hotel and Casino.

The first is Steve Linder, community relations manager for HSBC Bank Nevada, N.A. The bank is one of the largest issuers of MasterCard and Visa cards in the United States.

In addition to his position, Linder serves on the board of directors Habitat for Humanity, the Women's Development Center, the Nevada Council on Economic Education, the Academy of Finance at Clark High School, the Business Community Investment Council, HELP of Southern Nevada, Junior Achievement, Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Prospector's Council, Opportunity Village, Success by 6 (United Way), and the Executive Committee of the Summerlin Children's Hospital.

Janet Linder is executive director of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association (Las Vegas Chapters). She has been affiliated with countless non-profit organizations, including service on the board of directors for the National Association of for Community Leadership. She also received the 1995 Award for Outstanding Tennessee Leadership Educator prior to moving to Nevada.
