AIGA Las Vegas Works To Inspire

LAS VEGAS - AIGA Las Vegas introduced a new category that emphasizes public service in all its forms, following the lead of its national parent to promote the value of the designing process and the power to effect social change.

The organization also also selected six entries for special merit under their new Social Relevance category, which they hope will inspire The Art Institute of Las Vegas students and the local community to apply their creative talents in socially responsible ways. Communication remains a powerful medium to educate people about community needs.

AIGA Las Vegas will exhibit their Work Show 2006 winners from Aug. 14 to Sept. 21 at the Art Institute of Las Vegas, 2350 Corporate Circle in Henderson. The show includes public service communication. Admission is free.
