Smith's Pet Club Supports SPCA

RENO, Nev. - Smith’s Food & Drug Stores Pet Club for a donation of $18,526 to the Nevada SPCA and Animal Relief Foundation, which recognizes pet supply purchases at Smith’s stores and which gives to customers who spend $100 in pet products a Pet Club Savings Certificate for $9 off their next purchase and sends $1 to the local Humane Society or SPCA.

The SPCA of Northern Nevada is a non-profit Nevada Corporation (501 C3) that was founded in February of 1998 as a companion animal rescue and adoption organization in Washoe County. The SPCA is a non-euthanizing shelter dedicated to ending euthanasia as a means of pet over-population control.

The SPCA of Northern Nevada receives no federal, state or county funding. The organization is supported by generous donations from the public, grants from supporting foundations, our animal adoption fees and the revenue generated at our Thrift Store. All funding is dedicated to helping end the plight of homeless animals in Washoe County, Nevada.

The Animal Relief Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Elko, Nevada. They operate in cooperation with the City and County on cases of animal abuse or neglect. Most of our rescued animals come from the City facility.
