Mervyn’s Helps Kids For School

HENDERSON, Nev. - Mervyn’s, located at the Galleria at Sunset Mall in Henderson, will host its annual ChildSpree on Aug. 6 for 20 economically disadvantaged Henderson children. Each child will receive a $100 back-to-school shopping spree, along with 10 percent off all purchases made during the event. The children were selected through Boys and Girls Clubs of Henderson based on need.

Volunteers from Mervyn’s and the National Charity League will assist the children. Nationally, this annual event has helped thousands of children go back to school with new clothes, supplies and the confidence they need to succeed. Since 1992, ChildSpree has donated $12 million and served more than 160,000 children.

Since 1949, Mervyn’s has delivered a balance of style, quality, and value for families. The company’s goal is to satisfy customers' expectations better than the competition by offering style, quality, excellent service, all at a good price. Mervyn’s supports a variety of charitable initiatives throughout its 13-state region, including Nevada.
