Colonial Bank Hosts Car Show For AEDV

RENO, Nev. - Colonial Bank will host its 7th annual classic car show to benefit Advocates to End Domestic Violence (AEDV) from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 29 at the Parklane Branch of Colonial Bank located at 2330 S. Virginia St. in Reno. The show is part of a yearlong effort to aid the organization.

The event will include a raffle and various games. An estimated 150-200 cars are expected to be on exhibit and 18 awards will be given in various categories. Awards will be announced around 8:30 p.m.

Advocates to End Domestic Violence (AEDV) is a private, not-for-profit organization formed in 1979 by two formerly battered women who saw a need for a domestic violence program in Carson City, Nevada. The organization has since grown from a small two bedroom apartment operation to a full service program with a 51 bed shelter. It also provides a wide variety of services designed to protect and support battered women and their children in the community.
