Bechtel Nevada Assists Pahrump Students

PAHRUMP, Nev. - Bechtel Nevada donated $8,000 to Pahrump Valley High School for the purchase of band uniforms a few months ago after learning that the band hasn't had uniforms for several years. With the donation and funds raised through other fundraisers, these young musicians were able to purchase uniforms to wear during public performances.

Pahrump Valley High School's cheerleading team also purchased new uniforms this year with a donation from Bechtel Nevada.
Bechtel Nevada, a partnership between Bechtel Nevada Corporation and Lockheed Martin Nevada Technologies, Inc., manages and operates the work at the Nevada Test Site and its complex laboratories, facilities and infrastructures for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration, Nevada Site Office.

In other community efforts, the company organizes the annual "Christmas in April" program each year in Southern Nevada. In recent years Pahrump homeowners have benefited from Bechtel employees who volunteer their time and expertise to fix up homes owned by seniors and others in severe financial straits.
